Bob’s main strength and greatest love is bringing a smile to the young and old through entertainment, a big kid among little kids, with an ability to make them laugh.
Creative – A storyteller – Spontaneous and free-spirited, he has a varied background – musician, writer, producer, entertainer, piano tuner-technician (1984 – present).
Bob is a wearer of many hats, with outfits to match (German, Italian, French, Irish & Spanish). He is versatile, warm and open-minded with a love for all, friend or foe. Bob is highly respected and responsible, yet childlike and humorous. Always ready to learn something new.
History
1997-Present
1. Musician, performer and entertainer, vocalist and writer. Bob plays piano, accordion and synthesizers, and sings. The leader of variety band, “Horizon,” and German band, “Die Rheinlander’s.”
2. Solo performer, private and public. Schools, retirement centers, church groups.
3. V. Pres. of Piano Tuner’s Guild. Eighth year as Piano Tuner/Tech for UNCC.
Notes of Merit – 1972 – 1996
Vice President of jingle writing company, “Philadelphia Music Works,” now located in L.A., from 1973 to ’76. Carnegie Hall: Pianist and vocalist with “the Mark Anderson Trio” in 1981. Performances with “Garray and Tomeo,” in Springfield, VA during 1983. From 1985 to ’86, Commercial Spots for Central Piedmont Community College, Public TV. In 1986 Featured guest on “Tom Vance Show” on Public TV. Performances at Oven’s Auditorium, in Charlotte from 1987 to ’89, and he did a Food Lion Commercial in 1993. During 1994 and ’95 at Discovery Place in Charlotte he edited the script and wrote original music and produced four puppet programs. He also was MC and entertainer for “Breakfast with Santa” at Founders Hall. In 1995 was the “Singing Santa” w/orchestra in Charlotte, NC. During 1996, Bob wrote and produced “History of Christmas”, did a solo performance at Spirit Square, and last but not least performed for former Presidents Ford and Bush and former Russian Premier Mikail Gorbecov.
As you can see Bob is a versatile performer that can entertain a wide variety of audiences!
