NA WAHINE O’HAWAII

NA WAHINE O¹HAWAII is a self-contained group that includes Hawaiian dancers and the option of a fire dancer (outside only) performing with a background of live narration and taped music provided through a system that includes PA and amplifier all in one. (It is good for small venues, but must be plugged into a bigger system for larger venues.)

The show is normally 50 minutes and can be performed from beginning to end or have a break in the middle. It includes narration, dancers and costume changes in three parts:

HAWAIIAN: Slower music from Hawaii (hula, etc.). This segment usually includes participation on stage of women and, if available, children.

MORI: This features just the dancers w/out audience participation.

TAHITIAN; Faster music from Tahiti and outer Islands.

The group requires a dressing area close to the stage where they can leave props and change costumes as needed.

They are available for local work on week nights and weekends, and for out of town work on Saturday and Sunday and sometimes during the week with enough advanced notice. (They must schedule around their day jobs). On out of town jobs, they like to work early enough to return home the same night.

Extras (local or out of town) include: Fire Dancer, Lei Greeting (meet & greet guests with leis), Limbo, etc.

Also, have access to Royal Hawaiian Dancers from Disney World!
